Three things that are genuinely different here
A registered identity that machines can check
Australian businesses carry an ABN, and many carry an ACN and registered business names alongside it. That is an unusually good starting position for entity clarity, because there is an authoritative public record of who you are — but only if what you publish agrees with it. The common failure is a business trading under a name that differs from its registered one, with a website, a Google Business Profile and half a dozen directories each carrying a different variant. The register says one thing; the web says four; a system trying to decide who you are hedges.
.com.au is a signal, and a constraint
Eligibility rules mean a .com.au domain is not something anyone can register on a whim, which makes it a meaningful marker of an Australian trading entity. It also means many organisations run both a .com.au and a .com, or moved between them, and left the old one answering. Two live domains describing one business is one of the most reliable ways to split the corroboration you have spent years earning.
Australian English, and Australian questions
Customers here ask in Australian terms — suburb names, local service words, Australian spellings. Content written for a global audience frequently answers a question phrased the way nobody local phrases it. That is not a keyword problem; it is a retrieval problem, because the passage that would have answered the question does not contain the question.
What we will not tell an Australian buyer
The same applies to timeframes. There is no reliable universal figure for how long a change takes to be reflected, and quoting one would be guessing with a number attached. Rescoring exists so you can measure the lag on your own domain rather than accept a promise about it.
Where OG01 actually is
OG01 serves Australian businesses remotely from Byron Bay. The initial website check requires no installation or site visit. Our only office is at Suite 3, 5 Easy Street, Byron Bay NSW 2481; we do not have offices in other cities.
What being Australian does change is practical rather than technical: pricing in Australian dollars, work in AEST and AEDT, and familiarity with the records and platforms Australian businesses actually appear in.
Score, findings, remediation, rescore
- Score. One URL, about ninety seconds, free. The Authority Rating, the four intelligence areas and the highest-priority actions.
- Findings. Each issue named, located and explained in terms of what it is costing, ordered by impact.
- Remediation. Applied by us or specified precisely enough for your own team — the specification is identical either way.
- Rescore. The same measurement again, so the difference is attributable to the work rather than to a changed method.
